Within the Holland Park Mount Gravatt Catholic Parish we have many active community groups that you may wish to be involved in. Below is information on some of these groups, if you would like to become involved or find out more contact the parish office.
Children’s Liturgy of the Word
One Sunday a month Children’s Liturgy of the Word (CLOW) is held during the 9am Mass at St Agnes.
This is an opportunity for primary school aged children to hear and respond to the Gospel together, in a way that is meaningful and age appropriate. The coordinators will gather the children at the start of Mass and take them to the Parish Centre for CLOW and they will return to their families in Mass in time for the Liturgy of the Eucharist.
Young Families Gathering
One Sunday a month, young families from within the parish gather together on the St Agnes School oval after the 9am Mass. All families are welcome as the older children enjoy games of cricket, soccer, basketball or tennis and the younger children play in the sandpits and on surrounding equipment. Parents can join in the fun or take the time to get to know one another and enjoy a chat.
All families are welcome. Please bring along your favourite games to share.
Our Parish welcomes all parishioners to gather after some Masses for hospitality as an opportunity to get to know one another.
On the first Friday of each month we celebrate a Healing Mass as part of our regular Friday morning Mass at St Joachim’s and is followed by hospitality.
On the fourth Sunday of each month the 9am Mass at St Agnes is also followed by hospitality.
Coffee and chat
On the first Monday of alternative months a group of parishioners gather for morning tea and fellowship from 10am at Kafe Me in the Greenslopes Mall Shopping Centre. The confirm upcoming dates please contact the Parish office, or you are invited to just turn up.
